Leeds United have done it! Yesterday’s results confirmed it, today’s results crowned them Championship Champions on top of that.
Following a hard 1st season, when everything started as a dream before collapsing towards the end, with the team showing suicidal tendencies, this 2nd season didn’t start as well as the first but showed something that the 1st one lacked: CONSISTENCY.
A mature team that in most of the games knew exactly what it wanted and how they were going to get it. With players showing a stronger mentality and extreme focus towards the objective when the (inevitable) hard moments came.
Not only that, but the intensity that the team showed after the lock down was something unbelievable as we could see counterattacks with 5-6 players attacking the space behind the backs of the opponent’s defensive lines, which shows great physical condition, courage and offensive spirit.
No one can tell if the team played better football this year in comparison with the previous one but indubitably, no one can say that their promotion as champions was not fair.
In overall, they were the best team of the Championship.
Congratulations for the extreme feat and a big welcome to Premier League.
